Mister & Miss Dime Box Homecoming Contest

Contest begins at 2 pm on the main stage located at the corner of Bowers Street and Stephen F. Austin Blvd. Entries will be accepted up to 1:45 pm on the day of the festival at the Dime Box Lions Club tent.

CONTEST OVERVIEW AND GUIDELINES:

Each contestant will be introduced individually, walk onto the stage, stop at a designated spot, and interact with the judges.

·  Attire is casual festival wear. Contestants will not be judged on the extravagance of their clothing.

·  Contestants will not be penalized for shyness, short answers, needing prompting, or wanting a parent nearby.

JUDGING:

Contestants will be judged by a panel of 3 to 5 judges using a 100-point scoring system.

Criteria: Personality (30 points), Stage Presence (25 points), Response to a few age-appropriate questions (20 points), Confidence (15 points), and Overall Impression (10 points).

AWARDS AND ENTRY FEE:

Contestants are eligible for three awards in each age division by gender:

~Mister / Miss (Division Name) - 1st Place

~Mister / Miss (Division Name) - First Runner-Up
~Mister / Miss (Division Name) - Second Runner-Up

Other special awards may include Best Smile, Best Festival Spirit, Brightest Star Award, and Friendliest Contestant.

Entry Fee: $10 per child, non-refundable.
